Batista Hoshi is a major antagonist of the manga series Choujin X. He is the younger brother of Yamato Mori's second-in-command, Sandek Hoshi. Batista is the scientist behind XEMBER, a drug that awakens the latent potential of those with aptitude and forces them into becoming choujin. He is currently allied with the Tower of Mourning.

About

High schooler Tokio Kurohara may be a slacker in the classroom, but on the streets, he serves as a vigilante alongside his talented childhood friend Azuma Higashi, though both live in the shadow of the terrifying, superpowered beings known as Choujins. Their world is upended when a cornered confrontation with a vengeful enemy forces them to inject a dangerous drug intended to unlock Choujin abilities. The transformation proves tragically uneven: Azuma appears unchanged, while Tokio suffers a grotesque metamorphosis, gaining an avian beak and newfound powers. Now, Tokio is forced into a life of secrecy and isolation, all while he and Azuma are hunted by shadowy factions who view their forced evolution as a crime that must be punished with death.
